Why I am a Firebender:

Fire symbolizes passion, energy, impulse, enthusiasm, inspiration, idealism, faith. The sun is the source of firebending power. The original Firebenders learned firebending from the Old Masters-- the dragons who used to roam the four nations. During the time of the Firelord Sozen, firebending was perverted, by pride and used to attack the other nations. Firebenders have a great propensity for both great good, and for great evil. Because of this potential for evil, a great temptation of firebenders is to cease firebending, and hide to prevent hurting those around them. However, while it can be easily perverted and cause destruction and chaos, firebending also has the potential to bring great life.

In the same way, I see my life as a war. The earth is a battlefield, and while we're on it, we have to make the choice to fight against evil, and choose good. Just like Prince Zuko in "Avatar: TLA" we have a war going on inside us. The enemy is trying to tell us a destiny that isn't really our own, and we must learn to fight it, and instead follow Jesus, the "son" and source of our power. As sons of God through Christ, we have great ability for good by His power, and we also have great propensity for evil ourselves if we allow ourselves to become twisted and broken by the Evil One. My job-- our job-- our destiny-- is to use the gifts, abilities, skilss, and personality God gave us to fight this war. Not to defeat evil-- that's not our destiny, that's already been accomplished by Jesus, God's "Avatar" on earth. Our destiny is to fight it. Keep fighting, and flameo!

Why I am a Whovian:.

I would love to give you a long explaination of my Whovianship, but I think the show will better speak for itself.

Why I am a Blue Lantern:

Actually, I can't say that I'm entirely devoted to the Blue Lanterns as opposed to the Green Lanterns. I'm a huge fan of both, the Green Lanterns just seemed too conformist to post on here... and technically Hal Jordan was both a Blue lantern and a Green lantern at different times, so yeah... They're both awesome though!

Why I am an Avenger:

As a good friend of mine recently pointed out, just as the Avengers seek community in their fight against evil-- even when fighting villains they've faced sucessfully before (Thor/Loki for example), as people we were created to work better in community. We all, just like the Avengers have our own gifts, talents and abilities, and we do better when we "fight as one" instead of trying to face the fight alone until the enemy chases into the forest to be mauled with an axe.
